Running from 31 October to 4 November 2022, National Spa Week is the ideal way to fight off the winter blues and head to one of the best spas around the world to indulge and unwind.
As our lives are busier than ever, it is important to take time for ourselves, whether that be through a soothing facial, a soak in natural thermal waters or an expert massage using revolutionary techniques and luxury products. The Floating Spa at Monkey Island Estate, Bray-on-Thames
YTL Hotels’ wellness experts at Spa Village bring another UK first to the spa table with the innovative Floating Spa at Monkey Island Estate in Bray.
The bespoke crafted barge boasts three indulgent treatment rooms, an airy and bright wheelhouse reception and an Elixir Bar, all moored on the banks of the island offering guests holistic voyages through the history of the island and the River Thames.

Culloden Estate & Spa, Northern Ireland
The five-star Culloden Estate and Spa has recently completed an extensive renovation of its spa, including the shared wellness spaces and treatment rooms. The spa now boasts a new linear vitality pool with floor to ceiling views of the gardens and a Tylarium – a combination of a sauna and steam room.
The spa has also introduced a new partnership with the revolutionary Holywood Private Clinic, now based at the Culloden Hotel MediSpa. The private medical clinic offers an easy and accessible service to ensure all health issues, big or small, are a top priority. Some of the treatments and services that are on offer include face-to-face GP appointments, chronic pain management, annual health and wellness checks and mental health therapy.
The clinic also has a dedicated menopause clinic with top specialists from around the country.
Waldorf Astoria Spa, Edinburgh
This year, Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh – The Caledonian reimagined their selection of wellness treatments and relaunched as a Waldorf Astoria Spa in partnership with 111SKIN and Ground Wellbeing. Waldorf Astoria Spa, offers both residents and day guests the ultimate city spa experience in a haven of peace and tranquillity.
The spa has undergone a wellness overhaul under the stewardship of Spa Manager, Claire Doering, who has evolved the spa’s menu. Guests can indulge in a range of beauty and wellness treatments in partnership with 111SKIN and Ground Wellbeing.

Elemis Spa at Ellenborough Park, near Cheltenham
The stunning 15th century manor house, Ellenborough Park, is Gloucestershire's only 5-star hotel, just a few miles outside of Cheltenham and right on the gateway to the Cotswolds. The Indian-themed Elemis spa comprises seven treatment rooms (including one for couples), a jacuzzi pool, sauna, steam room, immersive sensation shower and a dedicated cosy relaxation room – ready for guests to relax and unwind.
Guests can choose from a variety of spa packages, including luxurious day spa options with full access to the outdoor pool which is open all year round to guests at the spa and heated to heavenly 30 degrees. With 10% discount on any Elemis products and 20% off any further pre-booked treatments for the same day, guests are encouraged to escape the rigours of everyday life and unwind in the glorious countryside.

Le Coucou, Meribel, France
Maisons Pariente’s Hotel Le Coucou will be reopening its doors for the winter season on 9th December 2022 with a whole host of new spa experiences and a brand new alpine restaurant Le Fumoir. New for the season, guests can enjoy a mother-daughter and father-son treatment alongside the organic brand Minois. The treatment includes a 40-minute body massage and 20-minute facial.
Le Coucou has also partnered with Aime Skincare, founded by Mathilde Lacombe, offering guests her famous collagen milk drinks, which will be served in the spa, bar and restaurants. Aime Skinware will also provide a simple solution to sleep with the introduction of the sleep and glow treatment alongside a range of skincare products all available at the spa.
Guests will discover KOS essential oils, Le Bouche Rouge, a manicurist and David Mallett haircare available at the hotel ensuring guests are pampered from head to toe.
Lou Pinet's Harper Spa, Saint Tropez, France

From 1st September 2022 to 28th February 2023, Dr Vihas Unni, a specialist in acupuncture, stress management and meditation, will be on resort offering a curated menu of treatments, and from 18th December 2022 to 31st January 2023, Jaos Santos, an international wellness consultant and body therapist specialising in dry massage, is offering a limited menu of treatments including Indian head massage, dry massage and foot reflexology.
Beyond that, from 1st December 2022 to 28th February 2023, Rajeshwari Amol Nerukar, a physical therapy practitioner and Reiki master will be offering an array of healing treatments to encourage feelings of calm and peace, and from 1st March 2023 to 20th April 2023, Kanlayanee Martthuean will be at the resort focusing on emotional release therapy, massage and yoga.
