Louis Vuitton has unveiled five new watches in its Tambour Spin Time collection, created in tribute to the romance of departure
Louis Vuitton has introduced five new watches to its Louis Vuitton Tambour Spin Time collection, each defined by a colour that marks the next chapter in the story of the collection.
Conceived in tribute to the romance of departure, the watches feature micro-sandblasted bridges, polished chamfers, an 18-carat rose gold oscillating weight, and colourless transparent jewels in place of conventional rubies. The La Fabrique du Temps seal is also engraved on every movement like a stamp in a passport.
“There are very few watch designs that belong unambiguously to a single House. The Spin Time is one of them. It could only have come from Louis Vuitton,” explains Jean Arnault, watch director of Louis Vuitton. “The connection to travel, the audacity of the display, the depth of in-house expertise required to realise it. It is ours in every sense.”
The Tambour Spin Time Green opens the permanent collection with a sunray and sandblasted dial finished in a deep, earthy green. The watch employs the Spin Time’s original jumping hour display configuration: 12 numbered cubes orbiting the dial, each rotating in sequence at the top of the hour. One cube face signals the current hour, while the remainder hold their neutral position until called.
The second watch in the series is the Tambour Spin Time Australia’s Opal, which features an 18-carat rose gold case and a fiery Australian opal dial. Paired with a matching blue rubber strap, the watch has a rose gold case, and hour markers set with baguette-cut diamonds.
The Tambour Spin Time Air enters the collection in the Tambour’s signature blue. The suspended calibre ST13.01 floats at the centre of the case, revealing the rotating cubes in three dimensions. The 12 cubes spell out the letters of Louis Vuitton.
“When we launched the Tambour Spin Time collection in 2025, we knew it was the beginning of something, not the conclusion,” says Jean Arnault of the new collection. “The permanent range is that next step – the Spin Time is no longer an occasion, it is a lasting icon that demonstrates the technical and artisanal savoir faire of the House.”
Also featured in this collection is the Spin Time Air Antipode Blue in white gold, which displays all 24 major time zones simultaneously across the 12 cubes, each bearing the names of two cities that are exactly 12 hours apart as antipodes of each other, and the Tambour Spin Time Air Flying Tourbillon Salmon in platinum.
