Apartment 0.07 launches in Mayfair, allowing residents to live like the iconic spy
Ever wanted to live like a spy? Well you're in luck: London-based luxury design firm Finchatton has unveiled the designs for an extraordinary James Bond-inspired apartment at Twenty Grosvenor Square, a Four Seasons Residence in Mayfair.
Inspired by Ian Fleming’s iconic creation, the designers have created a refined aesthetic for this 5,863 square foot three-bedroom living space, aptly named Apartment 0.07. The luxury triplex features a private double garage in the basement as well as an in-residence elevator for utmost privacy and ease in transition between each floor.
Designed as an homage to the captivating world of 007, Finchatton has instilled a sense of sophisticated opulence in the decor of this apartment; a rich palette of blue is used throughout, while contrasting textures and finishes create exquisitely tailored spaces that are warm and inviting.
Leading to the classical drawing room is a statement staircase adorned with floor-to-ceiling mirrors and a large pendant with brushed brass detailing designed by Lee Broom, while high ceilings and double-height windows create a light and airy atmosphere.
The lower level holds three-bedrooms, including the principal bedroom suite with two dressing rooms and ensuite bathroom. The soft base palette of the bedroom is layered with pink elements, complementing an upholstered headboard featuring an intricate mix of blue and grey tweed with leather piping.
Down here, a second entrance leads from the double garage to a hallway adorned with bold geometric patterned taupe wallpaper, while dramatic up-lighting provides a palpable sense of arrival for guests.
The signature entertainment space is the games room, featuring a high gloss walnut chess board from Sir William Bentley, a full-sized pool table and a home entertainment system. The centrepiece of the space, however, is a lofty window adorned with Dedar red velvet curtains overlooking the double garage which has grey wool wallpaper in a men’s suit style pin stripe.
An antique mirror displayed above a Nero Argento marble-topped bar offers the ideal place to store and display the shaken or stirred martini. Black and white photographs depicting classic cars are dotted throughout, and a smart but relaxed, modular seating area with leather piping creates an intimate and changeable setting.
Located on one of London’s finest squares in the heart of Mayfair, Twenty Grosvenor Square offers 37 residences, masterfully designed by Finchatton in collaboration with award winning architects Squire & Partners.
Outside of the confines of its individual luxury apartments, the development includes a private wine cellar, spa, children’s playroom, cinema, business suite, garden library and landscaped courtyard garden.
