Specialist security company Valkyrie hosted an exclusive showcase event on 13 November in association with event partners Copperstones – exclusive agent of Aston Martin Residence Miami – and Aston Martin. The Mayfair event saw 200 business leaders and HNW guests, including Arron Banks (co-founder of the Leave EU campaign), learn about the company's Technical Surveillance Counter Measures (anti-eavesdropping), vehicle tracking, and high-level cyber and physical security technologies at the former office of Special Air Service founder Sir David Stirling.

Guests arrived at the event to a fleet of Aston Martin cars – including a new DBS Volante, and heritage vehicles with links to Valkyrie's military history including a 1967 DB6 Volante in British Racing Green – before heading inside to the former residence and private office of Sir David, where his office had been authentically recreated.

Countermeasures expert Mike Moran was on hand to demonstrate some of Valkyrie’s world class countermeasure capabilities and the eavesdropping equipment they are designed to detect, before guests were invited to meet the event hosts, Valkyrie chairman Floyd Woodrow MBE DCM LLB and Admiral of the Fleet Baron Michael Cecil Boyce, KG GCB OBE KStJ DL.

"Founded in 2010, Valkyrie provides high-level cyber and physical security solutions to a diverse client base. We bring together expert knowledge and experience from a comprehensive cross-section of security disciplines to diligently assess an organisation’s exposure to risk across all areas of operations and activity," says Valkyrie managing director David Webb.  >>

"Our team is drawn from world-class security and intelligence organisations including special forces, the military and the police," says Webb. "As well as servicing the needs of our own clients, many top security organisations white label our services due to the quality of the services we deliver in specialist areas, such as electronic countermeasures and investigations. We maintain the highest standards in everything we do and combine new and highly technical IT-based security capabilities with practical operational experience."

Guests enjoyed cocktails by Squadron 303 Vodka, The Glenlivet, Beckett’s Premium Gin and Charles Heidsieck champagne, and canapés by Attilus Caviar before a 'flying buffet' by chef Jack Blumenthal. Musical performances by cellist Isabella Dembinska and lounge singer Kitty LaRoar rounded off the evening with a suitable James Bond themed flair.
