The showstopping women’s timepieces will be showcased at the 75th edition of the event
Luxury watch brand Jaeger-LeCoultre has announced exciting plans to present two extravagant new timepieces, the Joaillerie 101 Reine and the Joaillerie 101 Feuille, at this year’s Venice International Film Festival, taking place at the Venice Lido from August 29 – to September 8. The news comes as the brand celebrates 13 years as the partner and main sponsor of the prestigious event, which is marking its 75th year. The timepiece manufacturer is once again paying tribute to the many stars and actresses being honoured at the awards, as well as to ‘the women who have the gift of transforming the scenes of daily life into unforgettable moments’.
The watches, a part of the Joaillerie 101 collection, come in a feminine pink gold hue and are inspired by the core role women play within the world of film – described by the brand as ‘heroines by day and by night’. Reflecting the opulence and glamour of the Venice International Film Festival, Joaillerie 101 Reine and Joaillerie 101 Feuille are each adorned with 110 pavé diamonds, crafted by hand at Jaeger-LeCoultre workshops. Furthermore, on the silvered opaline dial, two discreet Dauphine hands represent ‘eternal femininity’.

The lid of the Joaillerie 101 Feuille is inspired by the shape of a headdress and can be raised or closed, revealing or concealing the passage of time. It’s also adorned with brilliant-cut and baguette-cut diamonds.
The Venice International Film Festival, founded in 1895, is part of the Venice Biennale, and is now one of the most acclaimed cultural organisations in the world. Each year, Jaeger-LeCoultre – who holds a long-standing affiliation with the event – awards its Reverso watch, with a unique engraving, to the winner of the Golden Lion (Best Film) and the winners of the Coppa Volpi (Best Actress and Best Actor). At this occasion, Jaeger-LeCoultre is to curate a special design for the engraved Reverso, creating a one-off, memorable keepsake for the wearer.
Feature-length films – presented as world premieres – in the running for the Venezia 75 competition at this year's festival include, The Sisters Brothers starring Joaquin Phoenix, John C.Reilly and Jake Gyllenhaal, The Favourite starring Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz, and Vox Lux, which stars Natalie Portman and Jude Law.
