Hublot launches collection of novelties at LVMH Watch Week

The watch brand announces array of stunning new models

This week marks the third edition of LVMH Watch Week, one of the most prestigious dates in the watchmaking calendar, during which the group's four watchmaking Maisons showcase their newest novelties to the world.

And this year saw Hublot release an array of new models that piqued the interest of retailers and journalists across the globe, from the slim new version of the Big Bang Integral to the three new iterations of the Big Bang Sang Bleu II.

Here, we take an in-depth look at the Maison's newest pieces released this week.

Big Bang Integral in 40mm

"Three pieces, three hands, three materials, but just one diameter: 40 mm."

So says Hublot of its slim new redesign of the classic Big Bang Integral model, which has been made available in yellow gold, titanium or ‘All Black’ ceramic.

This new collection, named Time Only, has been described by the brand as a stripped-back design, focusing purely on the time through a simplified hour, minute and second hand system.

Yellow Gold Collection

Hublot also took a number of classic designs from their back catalogue and reworked them into the sporty yet chic new Yellow Gold collection, using a fusion of gold and rubber in a aesthetic melding of materials.

Each of these six pieces represents part of the manufacturer's history; "a clear line between what Hublot was, is and will be", as the brand puts it.

Big Bang Unico Golf Orange Carbon

In 2017, in partnership with golfer Dustin Johnson, Hublot introduced the world’s first mechanical golf watch with aperture display: the Big Bang Unico Golf. Most golf watches are digital, but this innovative Swiss Made watch brought the joy of watchmaking mechanics to golfers’ wrists.

Hublot developed a module for its iconic Unico movement so that through three apertures, the watch shows golfers which hole they were on, how many shots they’d taken on that hole, and their cumulative score for the round. Now, they have introduced the Big Bang Unico Golf Orange Carbon, casing the ground-breaking Hublot MHUB1580 automatic movement in zesty, lightweight orange carbon.

Big Bang Sang Bleu II

The Hublot X Sang Bleu, one of the brand's most unique collections, has three new members in the form of new variations on the Big Bang Sang Bleu II.

To mark his seventh year of collaboration with Hublot, famed tattoo artist Maxime Plescia-Buchi chose to apply his ink to two iconic materials born from the Hublot Art of Fusion; Magic Gold and ceramic.

Big Bang One Click 33, 39 and 42mm

The Big Bang One Click 33s have also been given new reworkings, with Hublot adding new models available in King Gold or steel and partially or fully set.

The cases feature black or white polished dials, around which the precious hours are arranged. But the real style comes from the straps, of which there are twelve designs cut from ‘soft touch’ grained calf leather. Depending on the mood, they can change the style and look in one click, using the patented ‘One click’ system, hence the name.
