Frederique Constant ambassador Gwyneth Paltrow unveils new ladies' timepieces in London
The luxury timepiece brand launched six new models with a charitable touch
Luxury timepiece brand Frederique Constant unveiled six new watches in its Ladies Automatic collection on Thursday 21, with the help of brand ambassador and Oscar-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow. The stylish complications were launched at a glamorous cocktail event at the Design Museum, London. The goop founder and Avengers: Infinity War actress talked guests through the new releases – described as an "ode to femininity" – as well as revealing the brand's pledge to donate $50 of each Ladies Automatic sold to Paltrow's charity of choice, DonorsChoose.org. The organisation supports education and sports for underprivileged children and is Frederique Constant's charity of the year.
The six new watches each come in a choice of polished stainless steel or rose gold plated cases with an open case-back – a style accent seen frequently at this year's Baselworld but marking a new era in Frederique Constant's aesthetic. Two of the new models are powered by the FC-303 automatic movement displaying the hours, minutes and date at three o’clock, with both Swiss-made calibres featuring with 26 jewels, beating at 28’000 alt per hour and offer a water resistance of up to 50 metres.
The remaining four are powered by the FC-310 automatic movement displaying the brand's distinguishable Heart Beat aperture at 12 o’clock, the hours and minutes. With subtle lines, refined decorations and colourful tones, the four new coloured emblematic Heart Beat dials are further enhanced by applied diamonds and Roman numeral indexes. The ornately embellished opening is protected by a convex sapphire crystal.
“What’s great about Frederique Constant is their combination of classic style and strong values that I really agree with, but also they have a beautiful commitment to sharing their success by giving back," said Paltrow on renewing her partnership with the brand for the third year. "We are very well aligned in our passion for charity."
