Carl F. Bucherer to launch the Patravi ScubaTec Verde watch

Carl F. Bucherer’s newest creation is a collaboration for a cause, in partnership with the Manta Trust
Luxury Swiss watchmaker Carl F. Bucherer announced this week that it will launch the Patravi ScubaTec Verde tomorrow, Thursday 17th August, in partnership with the Manta Trust. A striking green, the watch marks the 10 year anniversary of the brand’s support of the trust, with a portion of sales of each timepiece – which retails at £5,500 – donated directly to the charity.
Since 2017, Carl F. Bucherer has produced Patravi ScubaTec watches in support of the trust’s activities. These high-performance dive watches were created to raise awareness of the Manta Trust and its remarkable commitment to preserving endangered manta rays and the ecosystems and habitats they need to survive. As a sign of the company’s commitment, two manta rays can be found engraved on the back of the Patravi ScubaTec case.
Following a successful expedition to a remote area of the Maldives in 2021, this August will see the Manta Trust undertake a research expedition in Ecuador, once again fully funded by Carl F. Bucherer. Home to the world’s largest-known population of oceanic manta rays, researchers from the Manta Trust and Proyecto Mantas Ecuador will spend two weeks at Isla de La Plata studying the group, with hopes to gain insight on the overall health of the population and determine why this particular site proves so popular with the creatures.
