The new-for-2022 shimmering version of the classic F1 driver’s watch of choice is a sight to behold
The TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph, watch of choice of some of Formula 1’s greatest drivers since its inception in 1963, has been reimagined in a stunning yellow and black gold design for 2022, offering a sleek new take on the classic model.
The new Chronograph, older models of which were seen as a symbol of success on the track following Jack Heuer's decision to gift them to winners in the 1970s, features the same classic 42-mm case as before, but is now made of solid 18K 3N yellow gold, with gold pushers and crown. The rich black sunray brushed dial, meanwhile, allows the shimmering precious metal to truly pop by way of stark contrast.
The case back, meanwhile, features a sapphire crystal through which the movement and custom black oscillating mass can be seen, and the piece is powered by the Calibre Heuer 02, the brand’s in-house chronograph movement.
Available from this week, the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph will be sold exclusively in TAG Heuer boutiques, on the brands’ e-commerce websites, as well as at select retail partners.
