The event saw yachts sail from Monaco to St-Tropez in association with The Yacht club of Monaco
Yachting enthusiasts gathered for the 13th edition of the Riva Trophy on 29-30 June, which saw more than 20 Riva yachts attend the prestigious boatbuilder's annual two-day sailing rendezvous from Monaco's Port Hercule to the Plage de Jumeaux in St-Tropez.
With events hosted by Puerto Rican actress and presenter Kesia Elwin, the race between the Riviera ports was only the start of the extravagant festival organised by Monaco Boat Service. Beginning with a welcome breakfast at Monte-Carlo's Riva Tunnel before competing yachts set off for St-Tropez at noon, guests were then met at le Plage de Jumeaux with an aperitif of Bellini and Rossini Cocktails before lunch.
Partnering with Bentley Cannes and Monaco, evening entertainment came in the form of a Mediterranean themed party at La Digue, including sunset drinks, dinner and DJs into the small hours. The second day of the meeting saw competitors battle it out in the Elegance contest, where Riva yachts were judged on representing their owner's favourite destinations – Ibiza, St Tropez, Monaco, Portofino, Capri, Taormina, Mykonos or Bodrum. >>

The meet ended with a leisurely sail back into Monaco for a black-tie gala evening at the Yacht Club de Monaco, where prizes were given before entertainment from Visionair Events and disco. The two main competition winners received F.P. Journe crafted 'Elégante' timepieces while winners from individual category were rewarded with luxury experiences and prizes. .
The Riva Trophy marks the beginning of the yacht show season, with the brand's now looking towards this year's Monaco Yacht Show in 2018, where Ms Riva will host an annual brand reception, before the return of the Robert Kennedy Human Rights Charity gala in the Riva Tunnel in October.
