The £99,999 TV represents a milestone in space-saving, eco-friendly design
LG Electronics has commenced sales of the world’s first rollable TV, the LG SIGNATURE OLED R, in the UK.
This remarkable design features a 65-inch flexible OLED display created from one sheet of glass, featuring self-lit pixels and independent dimming control to deliver picture quality of significant depth and vibrancy.
The TV also features the ability to scroll to experience the technological innovation that allows for three distinct viewing modes – Full View, Line View and Zero View – the latter of which is effectively a mode that allows the TV to be hidden from view when not in use.
The design of this stunning TV dates back a number of years, with LG originally unveiling a prototype version in early 2019, and will set customers back around £99,999.
Each rollable TV is produced to order and assembled with a craftsman-like attention to detail by the most experienced production professionals at LG’s factory in South Korea.
Furthermore, the TV employs an OLED panel certified by Swiss-based Societe Generale de Surveillance (SGS) for producing fewer air pollutants, while also featuring the world's first eyesafe-certified TV panels that meet the low blue light emission requirement of US-based Eyesafe.
