Leica Camera unveils its new Leica Q2 007 Edition to celebrate the release of the 25th Bond film, No Time To Die. Launched on 8 September and limited to 250 pieces, the special edition camera features the 007 logo on the deck cap and the famous Bond gun barrel design on the lens cap.
Each limited edition camera will be individually numbered, and comes in a customised, Ocean Green leather case by luxury brand Globe-Trotter.
Leica’s partnership with 007 began with Bond producer Michael G Wilson, founder of The Wilson Centre for Photography, and has seen the camera play a role both on set and behind the scenes – eagle eyed viewers will spot the camera on set in Bond’s Jamaican and London homes.
The launch is marked with the official opening of the Leica Gallery London exhibition: No Time to Die – Behind the Scenes, an exclusive photography exhibition featuring behind-the-scenes photos shot on Leica cameras. The exhibition will present an edit of 25 images curated by Wilson and taken by Wilson, actor Daniel Craig, and photographers Nicola Dove and Greg Williams.
The images include on-set action – such as Daniel Craig’s superspy character shooting at his enemies – as well as behind the scenes exclusives of actors on set, including Naomie Harris (Moneypenny) and Ben Wishaw (Q), and incredible set pieces like the production’s Aston Martin DB5s and stunt cars.
The exhibition will run until 15 October at London’s Leica Gallery. No Time To Die will be released in UK cinemas on 30 September.
