BTS star Jung Kook announces solo documentary I Am Still

The film chronicles Jung Kook, who is a member of the K-Pop group BTS, his solo career journey and his rise to superstardom
K-Pop seems to have become a worldwide phenomenon seemingly out of nowhere. Over the last few years, Korean pop groups like BTS, Blackpink, Twice, EXO, Stray Kids and more have gained almost a cult-like following. Many members of these bands have gone on to launch their solo careers alongside their mega popular bands. One such person is BTS’s Jung Kook.
After the band announced their hiatus in 2023, Jung Kook, who is currently serving mandatory military service in South Korea, released his first solo single “Seven” featuring Latto. Since then, the Calvin Klein ambassador has gone on to release more chart topping hits, collaborating with artists like Usher, Charlie Puth and Jack Harlow.Now, Jung Kook is about to take his fans behind the scenes of his rise to superstardom with his solo documentary film, Jung Kook: I Am Still. The film, which releases worldwide on 18 September, will give fans an intimate look into his artistic evolution. Tickets of the film go on sale on 21 August.

I Am Still will delve into Jung Kook’s creative process, work ethic, and the unique challenges that a global superstar faces, and will feature exclusive, never-before-seen footage and interviews alongside concert performances. Directed by Junsoo Park and produced by Jiwon Yoon, Jung Kook: I Am Still chronicles Jung Kook’s eight-month journey following his solo debut in 2023.Speaking about the film, Marc Allenby, CEO of Trafalgar Releasing, expressed his excitement at continuing their partnership with HYBE, the entertainment company releasing this film.
“Bringing Jung Kook’s story to the big screen is a testament to the power of shared experiences, and we can’t wait for fans to come together and enjoy this film with fellow ARMY (BTS’ fandom),” he said.
