Official timekeeper of the Games unveils stunning new design to mark the occasion
When it comes to making a statement, Omega's mantra appears to be "better late than never". To mark 100 days until the opening of the Tokyo Olympics, the brand, which serves as the official timekeeper of the Games, has unveiled a special edition timepiece.
The Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Tokyo 2020 delivers a unique colour scheme inspired by the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games emblem. The 42mm case is crafted in stainless steel and is mounted with a blue ceramic bezel ring, which is filled with a white enamel diving scale. Stainless steel is also used for the polished-brushed bracelet that is seamlessly integrated with the case.
Also featured is a polished white ceramic dial with extra depth provided by the laser-engraved waves, a date window at 6 o’clock and the iconic Seamaster name highlighted in red. Blued hands and indexes complete the dial design and are filled with white Super-LumiNova.
Meanwhile, on the inside sits the Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8800, which has been officially certified by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS).
Furthermore, those who choose this unique timepiece will receive it inside a special Olympic Games presentation box, along with a Master Chronometer card and a full five-year warranty.
