Walpole unveils its 2024 Brands of Tomorrow

The industry body of Britain’s luxury sector revealed its 2024 selections for its Brands of Tomorrow programme at The Ned in London

Walpole brands of tomorrowWalpole, the industry body for the British luxury sector, has introduced its 2024 brands of tomorrow which includes names like MONC Eyewear, Gigi & Olive and Larry King. These brands were unveiled with an event on 26 February at The Ned in London.

Brands of Tomorrow is a mentoring programme created in association with Mishcon de Reya, which sees the luxury industry trade association support and mentor the 12 emerging brands over the course of the year. The aim is to develop their business skills and set them on a path of growth. The mentors include some of the UK’s most experienced luxury executives, editors and founders, who provide a year of one-to-one coaching and share their knowledge and expertise with the chosen brands.

Speaking about the 2024 cohort, Helen Brocklebank, CEO of Walpole, expressed her passion for the programme, and highlighted the successes of the brands that were selected in 2023, hoping to see similar results this year.Walpole brands of tomorrow“Walpole’s Brands of Tomorrow programme was launched with the goal of ensuring long-term growth for the UK’s luxury sector by supporting and mentoring early-stage British luxury brands. I’m always inspired and grateful by how wholeheartedly the Walpole member community, particularly the mentors, support these fledgling businesses,” she said.

“It’s wonderful to see how the 2023 Brands of Tomorrow have flourished over the last 12 months and I’m incredibly excited to see this year’s brands follow in their footsteps,” Helen added.

Now in its 17th year, Walpole’s development programme aims to support the success and growth of the British luxury industry currently worth £48 billion by passing on the skills and experience to emerging brands.Other brands included in this year’s mentorship programme include Harrison Heritage, Poodle & Blonde, Huckleberry, SHORE and Katto helming the next generation of luxury homeware and furniture. Citizens of Soil, Fielden and Jukes Cordialities represent the food and drink sector and alongside MONC Eyewear, Otiumberg joins the list as a B corp jewellery brand.

Previous brands of tomorrow mentees include brands like Bremont, House of Hackney, Orlebar Brown, Emilia Wickstead, Nyetimber, Astley Clarke, Miller Harris and more.
