Dorchester Collection is one of the most prestigious luxury hotel portfolios in the world, with world-renowned properties in London, Ascot, Paris, Milan, Rome and Los Angeles. Now the brand has announced it will be launching a sister hotel to its flagship Dorchester London in the heart of the world's most opulent luxury travel destination, Dubai.
Dorchester has partnered with Dubai-based high-end developer Omniyat on the exciting project, a company renowned for delivering high quality projects with a development portfolio of more than £4.5 billion, having previously worked on luxury buildings including: The Opus designed by the late architect Zaha Hadid, Langham Place residences in Downtown Dubai, members-only club The Sterling, and The Pad. The hotel will be situated on the idyllic banks of Dubai Canal and will be the first Dorchester Collection hotel to open in the Middle East.
Christopher Cowdray, CEO of the Collection, said: “We are delighted to partner with Omniyat with its global reputation for outstanding design. This is our first hotel and residence complex in the Middle East and we look forward to bringing our distinct style of hospitality to this region.”
“Omniyat is a strong key player in bespoke luxury lifestyle and hospitality development in the region and this carefully selected partnership with Dorchester Collection is another statement on how we differentiate ourselves," said Mahdi Amjad, CEO and executive chairman of Omniyat. "We aim for authenticity through our projects that add to Dubai’s skyline and we only partner with the world’s most established brands that share our passion and excitement for creating unique, ultra luxury developments. We want to fuel unforgettable experiences through our projects and we couldn’t have found a more suitable partner than Dorchester Collection.”
Dorchester Collection will also take on the management of Omniyat's luxury One Palm development on The Palm Jumeirah, making it the first residential development in the Middle East to be managed by the hospitality brand. The announcement marks the start of a busy 2018 for Omniyat, who sold the penthouse at its One Palm development for £19m – the most expensive apartment in Dubai.
