Moscot opens its first eyewear shop in Manchester

Moscot Eyewear has opened its first store in Manchester, making this the brand’s fourth shop in the UK overall
MOSCOT, the New York City heritage eyewear brand, has opened its first store in Manchester, marking its fifth in the UK and 44th worldwide. Located on historic King Street, the opening marks the next chapter in MOSCOT’s UK journey.
For over a decade, customers from across the country have travelled to the brand’s four London shops to experience MOSCOT firsthand. Now, they can experience a slice of the Lower East Side in the north of England.
Speaking about the opening, Dr. Harvey Moscot, fourth generation and CEO highlighted Manchester’s rich history.
“After more than ten years and four Shops in London, we’re proud to take MOSCOT’s next step in the UK with Manchester. We’ve built a strong community of customers across the country, and this opening allows us to better meet them where they are. Manchester’s independent spirit, rich history, and creative energy make King Street an exciting home for our first shop outside London,” he said.
Spanning 121 square meters, MOSCOT Manchester features signature tin ceilings, vintage tchotchkes, family photographs, and historical artifacts that create an immersive journey through five generations of MOSCOT history and optical expertise.
Customers can explore MOSCOT’s full optical and sun collections, including MOSCOT originals and custom made tints, with expert opticians and stylists on hand to provide personalized guidance on frames, fit, and lenses. There is also an in-house eye testing facility that offers customers the convenience of updating their prescriptions and finding their next pair – all under one roof.
“Manchester has the kind of character we’re always drawn to – authentic, individual, and deeply creative,” adds Zack Moscot, fifth generation and chief design officer. “From its legendary music and fashion scenes to its industrial heritage, the city has always done things its own way. That independent spirit feels very MOSCOT, and we’re excited to bring a little downtown New York to King Street.”
