We’ve been eagerly awaiting the arrival of The Emory, London’s first all-suite hotel, since we had a sneak peek of its incredible private members wellness club and spa, Surrenne, and this month the ultra exclusive property, designed by the late Richard Rogers and Ivan Harbour of RSH, has opened its doors to guests. The latest opening from Maybourne – which operates iconic hotels such as Claridge’s, The Connaught, and the Maybourne Riviera – The Emory has 61 light filled suites featuring floor to ceiling windows, set over nine floors. Each two floors designed by a different celebrated interior designer – including Alexandra Champalimaud, Andre Fu, Pierre-Yves Rochon, and Patricia Urquiola, giving guests a fresh experience with each stay – with the top floor housing the hotel’s 300sqm wraparound penthouse suite designed by Rigby & Rigby. Food comes courtesy of abc Kitchens by renowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, bringing his trilogy of restaurants from New York – abc kitchen, abcV and abc cocina – to one location for the first time. Bars include The Emory Bar on the ground floor, with outdoor terrace, and on its spectacular rooftop – offering 360 degree views of the capital – you will find Bar 33 and The Emory Cigar Merchants, both exclusive to hotel guests or available by invitation only.

David Bowie lovers can celebrate the recent release of the late artist’s “Rock ‘n’ Roll Star Box Set with a series of immersive listening experiences at British Audio brand KEF’s brand new state-of-the-art venue on Great Portland Street, KEF Music Gallery London, where fans can book a seat in its Ultimate Experience Room to be one of the first to hear a global exclusive album playback of the new Dolby Atmos mix of “The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars”, from the legendary musician, which is due to be officially released to the public on 6th September. In addition, visitors can explore the gallery’s collection of David Bowie photography Memorabilia, and watch moving footage in The Gallery from the Ziggy Stardust Era.

The weather might have been a bit of a washout in the UK for this year’s Wimbledon tournament, but with the sun set to come out in time for the finals this weekend, head to Ham Yard Hotel’ outdoor terrace in Soho to take a seat in its ‘Centre Court Yard’ where it is broadcasting the BBC’s coverage of the action live on a large LED screen and providing wireless headphones to ensure you catch all the commentary. A tennis themed afternoon tea is available for guests, packed in a picnic hamper and featuring Yuzu and lemon verbena éclair topped with chocolate tennis balls, as is a selection of limited edition cocktails created in partnership with London Essence and the official gin of Wimbledon, Sipsmith. Among others, try ‘Strawberries & Cream’, a concoction of Sipsmith Sipping vodka, tequila, strawberry purée and mint tea, topped with a ‘cream’ foam, or ‘Sloe Motion Serve’, a mojito-style cocktail made with Sipsmith Sloe gin, crème de mure, plum bitters, London Essence Raspberry and Rose Soda. Sip Ruinart at the first Ruinart x Silo: Savoir (Re)Faire Supper Series

Champagne house Ruinart has partnered with zero-waste restaurant Silo on a new Supper Series that aims to highlight the adaptations the house has made to its craft to tackle the ongoing challenges of climate change, and. Savoir (Re)Faire is a monthly dining experience inspired by Ruinart Blanc Singulier, a new nature-led Champagne – its first new cuveé in two decades – created from 100% Chardonnay grapes that ‘tells the story of a single year as impacted by environmental factors.’ The first in the series will take place on July 17th, running monthly until mid-November, and the menu will evolve using produce that is impacted by our rapidly changing climate. Five courses showcasing natural farming methods and closed-loop cooking will be paired with Ruinart cuvees which as well as the Blanc Singulier cuveé will include Ruinart Rosé and the much loved Ruinart Blanc de Blancs

The silver ‘cage’ can be worn as a necklace, belt or wristlet and is inspired by the shape of THE DROP as well as taking influence from the original flask acquired by Paul-Émile Rémy Martin, which became the first LOUIS XIII decanter. The limited edition LOUIS XIII x LaQuan Smith chain complete with 10ml bottle of LOUIS XIII Cognac, costs £750.

This summer, Great Scotland Yard Hotel has partnered with Veuve Clicquot to take the British tradition of picnicking to a new level. Ideal for lovers of good food and drink, the Veuve Clicquot picnic is an immersive dining experience that can be enjoyed at the Royal London Park of St James’s. Available to order for the months of July and August, nourishment is supplied by Great Scotland Yard Hotel’s kitchen, who have prepared a ‘lunch-to-go’ packed in a beautiful wicker hamper for the ultimate feast in the park. Items in the basket include chicken coronation sandwich, cheesecake mousse & macerated strawberries and a chilled full sized bottle of Veuve Clicquot champagne. To complement the picnic menu, the hamper will include a seasonal homemade lemonade, mineral water and all the picnic essentials — blankets, cutlery and condiments, for an al-fresco feast.
