February hot listChef Atul Kochhar launches monthly Michelin-starred ‘Four Hands’ experience at Mayfair restaurant, Kanisha

Putting any January notions of detoxing behind us, February is time to dine – and why have one Michelin starred chef when you can have two? Chef Atul Kochhar, who was the first Indian chef to receive a Michelin star in the UK, will this month pair up with several other UK Michelin starred chefs to launch his Michelin-starred ‘Four Hands’ experience at his Mayfair restaurant, Kanisha. The monthly series will begin on Thursday 8th February and will see award-winning chef Nigel Haworth of The Three Fishes in Mitton, join Atul to create a unique seven-course tasting menu for guests. Following this, chef Adam Handling of Frog restaurant, will be cooking alongside Atul on 6th March, showcasing his love of modern British cuisine. Other chefs lined up include the likes of Roy Ner, Lisa Allen, Michael Caines, Jun Tanaka, Angela Hartnett, Aktar Islam, Sriram Aylur and Ollie Dabbouos. February hot listMexican hotspot Cavita to open ‘El Bar de Cavita’ 

One of London’s favourite Mexican restaurants, Cavita in Marylebone, has announced that it will open its new basement bar, El Bar de Cavita, this February – the perfect antidote to dry January. The bar is described as a ‘labour of love’ from Chef Patron Adriana Cavita and is centred around her favourite things, Mezcal, Margaritas and Mexican street food. Opening on 16 February, the bar will build on the reputation of Cavita’s house Margarita, the Watermelon Margarita, introducing a number of new Margarita serves alongside other drinks including a classic Mezcalita, a Corn Old Fashioned and the traditional fermented pineapple drink Tepache. With room for 44 covers, the bar is open from Wednesday – Saturday from 6pm – 12.30am. February hot listSee Lover’s Rock icon Carrol Thompson at The Standard, London with a loved one this Valentine’s Day 

A February Hot List wouldn’t be complete without something for Valentine’s Day, and what could be more fitting than a performance by Lover’s Rock legend Carrol Thompson at The Standard, London. Lovers’ can take the hotel’s famous red-pill lift to its tenth floor bar, Sweeties, featuring views across the city. This special edition of its Vinyl Wednesdays event promises couples a journey through time, listening to Carrol, affectionately named ‘Queen of Lover’s Rock’ singing classic songs from this smooth reggae fusion genre. Cocktails available for guests include fan-favourite, “Be Mine” with peach liqueur, “Let’s Go” with Campari and citrus notes, or savour the elegance of “Ready & Waiting” featuring Japanese whisky.Macallan releases Tales of The Macallan Volume II

For whisky lovers and collectors, Macallan has released something special for its 200th anniversary – the unveiling of a rare single malt whisky which pays homage to Alexander Reid, the brand’s founder.

Tales of the Macallan Volume II is the second edition in its series of single malt Scotch whiskies, which celebrate the spirit of the brand. Created by Macallan’s lead Whisky Maker Euan Kennedy, this 1949 vintage whisky, bottled in 2022 in handcrafted crystal decanter, and selected at the apex of its maturation, is contained within a handcrafted book that tells the pioneering story of Reid. On the nose, Tales II includes notes of antique oak, treacle toffee and aromatic woodsmoke, and is accompanied by black cherries, plum jam and dark chocolate orange on the palate. Tales of The Macallan Volume II has an RRP of £77,391 and will be available at The Macallan Estate, The Macallan Boutiques and premium retailers, including Harrods, Selfridges, The Whisky Shop and Berry Bros & Rudd. Celebrate Menton’s famous Fête du Citron at Mauro Colagreco’s Saison 

Between 19 February and 3 March, prepare for a taste of warmer weather to come at Saison – the new Mediterranean restaurant at Raffles London at The OWO from acclaimed chef Mauro Colagreco – which will host its very own Citrus Festival, inspired by the famous Fête du Citron® celebrated in Menton, the French home of Colagreco’s three Michelin-starred restaurant, Mirazur. Known worldwide for its famous lemons, Menton founded the Fête du Citron carnival in 1875, which runs to this day and Mauro Colagreco has always marked the occasion with celebrations at Mirazur – which has once held the title of number 1 in the World’s 50 Best Restaurants Awards – with a special citrus-inspired menu each year. The Citrus Festival menu will showcase a variety of the citrus fruits, including the famed Menton lemon. Citrus decorations will adorn the tables of its Mediterranean courtyard featuring glass ceiling, trees and trellises.
