Visit the Moet & Chandon Champagne Bar at Harrods for some new festive serves

Christmas hasn’t truly kicked off until we’ve popped a bottle of Champagne and where better to sip fizz than at the Moet & Chandon bar at Harrods. For the festive season, they have introduced five new Champagne cocktails: Golden Harvest a serve packed with festive flavours of ginger, pear and vanilla, topped with Moët Impérial; Rogue Berry, created with Belvedere Pure, blueberry, holly berry and timur berry and Moët Rosé; Sangria Impérial, seasonal take on a classic made with Moët Impérial; Champagne Crusta, a Moët Imperial serve packed with Christmas flavours of cranberry, grapefruit and honeycomb; Queen Texas, created with Moët Impérial and Beyonce’s SirDavis American Whisky, complemented with pimento and neroli.

If you’re looking for an antidote to the rich, festive dining we usually indulge in come December, head to Japanese restaurant SACHI which recently opened on Motcomb Street in Belgravia. SACHI occupies the second floor and rooftop of the historic Pantechnicon building and promises diners an experience based on the kappo ryori concept, meaning ‘to cut and to cook’ and includes an omakase counter and open kitchen. The SACHI rooftop bar is a spot guest can enjoy cocktails, small plates and sake while listening to live music.

Nothing gets you in the Christmas spirit more than a carol concert, and the iconic Chelsea Pensioners Choir will be exercising their pipes at The Cadogan Arms spreading festive joy. Guests can enjoy the carols while tucking into a variety of Christmas specials including, Pigs in Blankets, Scotch Egg with Cumberland Sauce, and a Turkey Toastie filled with Pickled Red Cabbage, Stuffing, Cheddar, Gravy Mayonnaise and Spiced Cranberry Chutney.

Ice skating at Somerset House is one of the best festive traditions and Skate is of course back for another year with a packed out offering. The Chalet brings Alpine inspired dining courtesy of Jimmy Garcia, while The Whispering Angel lounge offers hot and cold rose serves for skaters. For festive partygoers, the Skate Lates with Rock Angel lets skaters take to the rink to a live soundtrack provided by Rinse FM DJs. Shelter boutique will also be hosting a popup store of pre-loved vintage, designer clothes and gifts to purchase for loved ones this year, all in aid of the charity.

This month, screen icon Sigourney Weaver makes her West End debut in Shakespeare’s The Tempest, where she takes on the role of the former Duke of Milan and banished sorcerer Prospero, who uses his magic to conjure a storm on the island where he has been exiled. The Tempest will be the first Shakespeare play to be staged at the legendary Theatre Royal Drury Lane in over half a century. Sigourney will be joined on stage by Jude Akuwudike who plays Alonso, Mara Huf as Miranda, and Forbes Masson who plays Caliban.
