Burberry to design Claridge’s 2025 Christmas tree
By Shivani Dubey | 3 November 2025 | Design, Lifestyle
British luxury brand Burberry has taken up the mantle to design a bow-filled and sustainable Christmas tree for Claridge’s 2025 festive season
As London officially kicks preparation for the festive season into high gear – with Christmas lights, trees and decor going up all across the city – one of the most exciting reveals in the luxury calendar is the designer for Claridge’s Hotel’s Christmas tree. Each year, the five-star hotel enlists the help of a luxury fashion house to create their take on the festive decor – and this year, Claridge’s has invited British fashion house Burberry to take on the challenge of creating the Christmas tree.
Adding a sustainable element to the proceedings, Burberry’s chief creative officer Daniel Lee will be adorning the 16 foot tree with 600 bows made out of surplus Burberry fabrics, alongside some hanging bells and chess-piece decorations inspired by the brand’s equestrian knight designs.

The tree, which will be unveiled on 25 November, will feature a gold crown on top with life-size chess pieces scattered around on the floor.
This is not the first time Burberry has designed a tree for Claridge’s. In 2015, Christopher Bailey, Burberry’s then chief creative officer and CEO, paid tribute to the brand’s heritage as a rainwear maker, and created a tree adorned with 100 gold and silver umbrellas.
Over the last 15 years, Claridge’s has invited a host of some of the most high profile luxury fashion houses to lend their creative direction and design one of the most gorgeous Christmas trees London has to offer. The 2024 Christmas tree was designed by Sir Paul Smith, with Louis Vuitton taking up the mantle a year before.

Other designers and fashion houses that have designed the tree over the years include Sandra Choi for Jimmy Choo, Kim Jones for Dior, Christian Louboutin, Diane von Furstenberg, Karl Lagerfeld, Dolce & Gabbana, and more.
The Claridge’s Christmas Tree 2025 by Daniel Lee for Burberry will be open for public viewing throughout the festive season at the hotel’s Mayfair location.
