Amalgam Collection, the world renowned luxury model car company, has launched a 1:4 scale Ferrari 499P V6 Engine and Gearbox model ahead of the 2026 24 Hours of Le Mans. This collaboration offers fans a unique opportunity to explore the intricate powertrain that helped return Ferrari to overall victory at Le Mans in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
Developed using original Ferrari reference material, the model captures the intricate engineering of the powertrain that underpinned Ferrari’s return to overall Le Mans victory. The model captures the complexity of the Ferrari 499P’s V6 engine and seven-speed sequential gearbox in extraordinary detail.
The Ferrari 499P marked the marque’s return to the top class of endurance after a 50-year absence and has since become one of the most significant racing cars of the modern era. This launch has arrived as Ferrari once again prepares to compete for glory at Circuit de la Sarthe, in a fitting celebration of the car’s engineering and technology.

Every component has been recreated to an extraordinary level of accuracy using original design data provided by Ferrari. The model showcases the intricate architecture of the 499P’s twin-turbocharged V6 power unit and transmission assembly, revealing engineering details normally hidden beneath the bodywork of the car.
Speaking about the model, Sandy Copeman, founder of Amalgam Collection, highlighted the longstanding relationship between the model car company and Ferrari.
“Having worked alongside Ferrari for more than twenty years, we are uniquely privileged to receive access to original CAD files, engineering data and reference material directly from the teams that create these remarkable machines. That access, combined with the involvement and approval of Ferrari throughout the development process, allows us to create models with a level of accuracy that simply cannot be achieved any other way,” said Sandy.

“The Ferrari 499P V6 Engine and Gearbox demonstrates what is possible when engineering data and craftsmanship come together. Like a fine mechanical watch, its beauty lies in the complexity and precision of its construction. Our goal is always to create the world’s finest model cars, and that can only be achieved through genuine collaboration with the people who designed the original,” he added.
Besides the engine scale model, Amalgam has also created the Tempus Collection, which contains race-worn 1:18 scale models of the McLaren and Ferrari Formula 1 cars as they crossed the finish line at the 2025 Australian Grand Prix.
