Book a table at Claridge’s Kitchen Supper Series
Launching this month, Claridge’s has partnered with The Good Food Guide to launch a new chef’s table supper series that sees top chefs from across the UK taking over Claridge’s kitchens for one night only to showcase the best of British dining, with guests offered front row seats to the culinary theatre. The inaugural dinner on 25 September will see Claridge’s own culinary director Simon Attridge at the helm, while subsequent dinners will see the likes of Gareth Ward of Ynyshir Restaurant in Wales, Sam Carter of Cambridge’s Restaurant Twenty Two and Roberta Hall- McCarron of The Little Chartroom in Edinburgh bringing their expertise to the iconic hotel.

Dorchester Collection’s 45 Park Lane, known for its rolling calendar of contemporary art exhibitions, will this month unveil its latest exhibition – Albert Irvin OBE RA: Autographic Marks. Launching on 6 September at the hotel, the exhibition explores the works of the Abstract Expressionist artist, with a focus on impressive large scale pieces from the 70s and 90s. Guests can head to the hotel to enjoy a cocktail while taking in the vibrant pieces, which will be on display throughout Frieze London.

As well as its incredible suites, new luxury hotel The Emory boasts a rooftop bar with incredible views across London, and from 6 September, the bar will play host to a pop up by Legendary Argentinian bartender Renato ‘Tato’ Giovannoni, founder of the renowned Florería Atlántico bar in Buenos Aires, and winner of the World’s 50 Best Bar’s Industry Icon Award. The Emory x Tato will see a menu inspired by his childhood in Buenos Aires and guests can expect a soundtrack of Argentinian music featuring dramatic Tango tracks. With Negroni week taking place this month, it’s the perfect time to try Tato’s Negroni Balestrini, an ode to his grandfather Lelo and made using Tato’s own gin.

For whisky and contemporary art lovers, head to Harvey Nichols from 16 September, where Glenfiddich are celebrating the launch of the latest luxury whisky in its Grand Series, Grand Chateau 31 Year, with a month-long bar takeover in collaboration with internationally renowned artist André Saraiva who has designed the whisky’s artful box and the whimsical pop up space. The playful design sees traditional French Toile de Juoy covered walls – a nod to the Bordeaux red wine casks in which the whisky was finished, juxtaposed with bold, red spray paint depicting the artist’s charming cartoon alter ego, Mr A.

One of our favourite wine emporiums, Hedonism in Mayfair, this month opens a chic new wine bar, The White Horse, also in Mayfair. The space, formerly a pub and events space, has been transformed into a modern wine bar and will showcase an array of options by the glass, rarer vintages, and larger bottle formats. Set over two floors, The White Horse’s wine list is complemented by a food menu including cheeses from La Fromagerie, charcuterie, and light seasonal plates. Keep an eye out for its calendar of events and tastings.

The Marquee Club in Soho is paying homage to the site’s roots as an iconic music venue by launching its brand new music live show, The Marquee Cabaret. From 5pm every Friday starting 27 September, journey back in time to the vivacious venue that launched the careers of the world’s most iconic bands and artists, as some of London’s best current drag performers, vocalists and entertainers will take to the 100 Wardour Street stage to bring Rock & Roll back to 2024 by playing some of the best hits of the 60s, 70s and 80s — right where it all began. What’s more, 100 Wardour St’s restaurant will also be serving 3-course meals with a glass of bubbles as you watch the show unfold.

On 27 September, CORD, Le Cordon Bleu’s flagship fine dining restaurant, will host a pairing dinner featuring Mazen Assaf, the ‘Olive Oil Guy’. In collaboration with CORD’s executive chef Karl O’Dell, guests can indulge in a five-course menu specially curated and paired with premium olive oils from four Mediterranean countries. Mazen Assaf, an expert in olive oils, will take guests on a guided tasting experience, showcasing five exquisite oils from Greece, Italy, Spain, and Lebanon. Each oil, with its unique flavour profile, will be paired with dishes like Isle of Wight tomatoes with burrata, gazpacho, marjoram; Rhug Estate rack of lamb with lamb shoulder, courgette, aubergine and more, highlighting the synergy between high-quality olive oils and fine dining.
