Drink Ridley Scott’s Mas des Infermières wine at The Laslett Terrace
Sir Ridley Scott is known worldwide for his epic films, but his impressive wines, made on his estate Mas des Infermières in the South of France, have also gotten people talking in recent years. Following their launch into the UK at the end of this year, Mas des Infermières will later this month bring a little of the Luberon sun to London when they take over the much-loved terrace at The Laslett in Notting Hill. Guests can sample the estate’s Source Collection – in red, white, & rosè – as well as, for the first time in the UK, its sparkling rosé Perle du Mas. Mas des Infermières x The Laslett opens on 21 June and will run through until the end of August.

You will likely have experienced a wine-paired dinner – or even a whisky-paired dinner – but have you ever had a dinner expertly paired with premium cigars? This month on 21 June, The Beaumont Hotel will host an al fresco Cigar Dinner on its Magritte Terrace. The hotel’s Director of Beverage Antonino Lo Iacano. Diners will start with smoked salmon blinis and a heritage tomato and black olive Gazpacho, paired with a Boulevardier cocktail and the Trinidad Fundadores cigar. Duck liver parfait and turbot en croûte will be served alongside Zind Humbrecht Roches Granitique Riesling 2018 and Domaine Long-Depaquit Chablis 1er Cru Les Vaucopins 2017 respectively. Following dessert of Dark Chocolate Tart paired with whisky, guests will conclude the evening with a Trinidad Topes cigar.

Claridge’s Art Space has announced a new collaboration titled ‘EVERYONE Can Dance’ with renowned performer Eric Underwood, offering guests the opportunity to attend complimentary dance classes hosted by Underwood, formerly a soloist at The Royal Ballet. Celebrating the art of movement, the classes will take place across June and July within the gallery and are open to dancers of all levels and experience and will include a warm up followed by dynamic ballet movements. After a cool down and stretch, guests will be invited to ask Underwood questions during a Q&A session. Sessions will take place at 8.30am on 14 June, 28 June and 19 July and can be booked online.

The stunning new room, inspired by Versailles’ Hall of Mirrors, will offer guests the opportunity to try Ladurées signature macaron and afternoon tea offering, and will also act as a dining room with classic menu that merges French and British cuisine, with dishes such as vol au vent, scallops with Jerusalem artichoke and beef wellington.
