Why the Jet Set are flocking to St Tropez to get their ‘glow on’ at the new Dr Sturm Spa & Boutique

Situated in the heart of the iconic French town, the exclusive summer spa will offer a full menu of cutting-edge treatments

As the playground of the rich and celebrated, St Tropez is known for its exclusive beach clubs, state-of-the-art super yachts, designer maisons and restaurants such as the legendary Club 55. Now, there’s a new spa destination to cater for the discerning French Riviera jet set crowd following the launch of the Dr Barbara Sturm Spa & Boutique.

Situated in the heart of St Tropez, the exclusive summer spa will offer a full menu of cutting-edge facials, wellness therapies and anti-ageing body treatments. And for those clients requiring total privacy, the spa will come to them, offering in-room amenities and services on yachts and private villas.

Designed in collaboration with architect Tobias Freytag, the boutique is the fifth in the Sturm portfolio, which includes London, Los Angeles, Miami and Dusseldorf, and features contemporary, lacquered white finishes alongside pops of soft yellow, mint green and orange-red. It’s a look that gives a fresh twist to the classic French awnings and store frontage.

There are two express treatment rooms, where clients can experience a selection of 30-minute facials, and two larger rooms on the ground floor, where customers can enjoy the famous SturmGlow Facial, as well as a range of exclusive treatments. They can even snap up bespoke merchandise, including shorts, towels, baseball caps and beach bags.

The St. Tropez Summer Facial is set to be a hit – a hydrating, soothing and rejuvenating sensory ritual, it helps to prepare and repair skin exposed to the sun and includes Dr. Sturm’s signature lymphatic drainage massage and cryotherapy as well as a non-invasive, cooling treatment designed for calming inflammation and cooling down the skin.

“As a doctor, I want everyone to be able to experience pure and real skincare education, so the more locations we are able to offer our patients, the better,” says the German-born aesthetics doctor, whose A-list clients includes Bella Hadid, Kate Moss, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Gwyneth Paltrow and Kim Kardashian. “St Tropez is a great addition to our existing Spas & Boutiques and a natural next step for Sturm.”

A pioneer in anti-inflammatory science, the world-renowned aesthetics skin doctor shot to fame in 2002 with her anti-ageing ‘blood cream’ using plasma drawn from patients’ own blood to produce proteins that reduce inflammation and stimulate the healing process. Since then, she has launched her popular Molecular Cosmetics science-based skincare range focused on hydration, nutrition and regeneration.

If you can’t get to St Tropez or one of the other spas, then Dr Sturm’s new summer kit will give your skin that hydrated, healthy and glowing look. The seven-step skincare routine comes in a reusable, yellow neoprene bag and features face mask, hyaluronic serum, calming serum, face cream, sun drops SPF50, hydrating face mist and aloe vera gel in a selection of full, deluxe and mini sizes.
