Watches and Wonders returns to Hainan

The famed watch show revisits the Chinese island for another round of unique, enthralling exhibitions
Tomorrow will see the return of the Watches and Wonders trade show to the Chinese island of Hainan, taking up a three-month residence at the CDF malls in the cities of Sanya and Haikou.
This Asian edition of Watches and Wonders, the European edition of which is held annually in Geneva, Switzerland, will see 13 watchmaking Maisons taking showcase their newest creations to the public, holding a specially curated and unique watchmaking exhibition on the island.
Watches and Wonders Hainan, the first of which took place in 2020, will run from 2 December 2022 to 28 February 2023, with the Chinese New Year Festivities on 22 January 2023 serving as the high point.
The 13 Maisons participating will be A. Lange & Söhne, Baume & Mercier, Cartier, Girard-Perregaux, Hermès, IWC Schaffhausen, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Montblanc, Panerai, Piaget, Roger Dubuis, Ulysse Nardin and Vacheron Constantin.
According to the event organisers, Watches and Wonders' format of "one event, two destinations and three months of exhibition" will "deliver a panoramic view of watchmaking history, its complications and its most spectacular designs".
