The piece, retailing at more than £35,000, features stunning lunar display
Vacheron Constantin has today unveiled its spectacular Traditionnelle Complete Calendar, a sleek monochrome model with stepped round case and lugs, fluted caseback and railway minute-track swept over by Dauphine-style hours and minutes hands made from 18K white gold.
The piece, which will retail at £35,100, features a calibre 2460 QCL/1 powering a complete calendar display (day of the week, date, month), along with a precision moon phase and the age of the moon.
The brand calls its new creation a "contemporary expression of classic traditional watchmaking", adding that it is "reminiscent of the watches made by the cabinotiers, the Geneva watchmakers who plied their trade during the Age of Enlightenment".
The new model also features a gorgeous black alligator leather strap.
