Ulysse Nardin unveils new Diver X Skeleton Black

This new addition to the Diver X collection features a complete redesign of the UN-371 movement
Iconic Swiss watchmaker Ulysse Nardin has announced the release of 175 new pieces of its Diver X model, now in a sleek black carbonium design.
The new addition to the maison's highly successful Diver X collection, dubbed the Diver X Skeleton Black, has been described as a "cutting-edge evolution" of the existing design by the brand, which notes that it showcases "sporty appeal while taking a radical step towards transparency".
The piece is designed to withstand depths of up to 200 meters and is equipped with a black Carbonium® concave unidirectional rotating bezel and domed sapphire glass. Meanwhile, owners can choose to complete their watch with a vibrant yellow rubber strap or a black R-STRAP made of upcycled fishing nets.
For this new model, Ulysse Nardin's engineering team redesigned the UN-371 movement, which is visible through the 44 mm case. Originally designed for the Blast Skeleton collection, it has been improved with the addition of an oscillating weight in the shape of Ulysse Nardin’s “X” motif. There is also a barrel cover placed at 12 o’clock in black carbonium, which is the same as the bezel. The hours, minutes, and seconds hands, as well as the indexes are coated with white or yellow tinted Super-LumiNova.
