The Ned announces debut Christmas tree collaboration with Macallan
By Shivani Dubey | 4 November 2025 | Design, Lifestyle
In a first for The Ned since it opened in 2017, the luxury hotel is collaborating with Macallan to create its Christmas tree for the festive season
Many luxury hotels across London are known to produce a unique spin on the classic Christmas trees displayed in their halls. Claridge’s has its designer tree (this year designed by Burberry), while 45 Park Lane spotlights an artist, and now, The Ned is joining the ranks by partnering with Macallan to design its first ever Christmas tree collaboration.
The tree, which will be displayed in the hotel’s grand banking hall, draws inspiration from the whisky maker’s rich DNA. Designed by The Macallan and Grandirosa, the tree embodies the brand’s distillery, Speyside’s rolling hills, and the deep connection to the oak casks and craftsmanship that define its whisky.
The design of the Christmas tree will feature Macallan’s signature red woven through elements of oak and copper, and will be adorned with copper baubles inspired by Macallan’s copper stills.

There will also be white ornaments emblazoned with The Macallan “M”, and rich red velvet bows. Clusters of berries, acorns and foliage will evoke the flora and fauna of Scotland, bringing the spirit of Speyside to the heart of London.
Complementing the tree, guests will also be encouraged to indulge in the many exclusive whisky experiences that will take place at The Ned throughout the season. For example, the Library Bar will host an intimate Macallan whisky cocktail and expressions menu, while Lutyens Grill will feature a curated list of Macallan cocktails.
Speaking about the debut collaboration, Gareth Banner, the group managing director at The Ned, expressed what this partnership means for both the brands.

“We’re thrilled to welcome our friends at The Macallan to the Ned this Christmas. This collaboration celebrates our shared commitment to craftsmanship, storytelling, and timeless elegance,” says Gareth.
Sergio Cabello, head of The Macallan UK, added: “We’re excited to partner with The Ned to create a truly memorable festive season. This partnership is about bringing people together and creating joyful moments and festive experiences worth celebrating.”
The Macallan Christmas tree at The Ned will be on display from 24 November to 28 December, and will be open for public viewing.
