TAG Heuer is celebrating its return to the Goodwood Festival of Speed as its official timing partner by releasing a special limited edition watch
As the Goodwood Festival of Speed returns for its 2025 edition, TAG Heuer has announced that it will be the official timing partner of the celebrated motoring event — and has released a special, limited edition watch to mark the occasion: the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph x Festival of Speed.
The theme of the event for 2025 will be “The Winning Formula – Champions and Challengers” as a showcase to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Formula 1 — which marks a particularly poignant time for TAG Heuer to foray into Goodwood as the watchmaker is also the official timekeeper to Formula 1.
The limited edition watch features a dial in British racing green inspired by the eponymous Goodwood green and sophisticated hobnail texture. This is complimented by red accents and a brown leather rally strap that speaks of the golden era of motor racing in the 1970s. The watch will be limited to just 100 pieces and will be initially offered to members of the Goodwood Road Racing Club, before going on general sale.

Established in 1993 by Charles Richmond, the 11th Duke of Richmond, the Goodwood Festival of Speed is centred around the hillclimb, a timed competition covering 1.86 kilometres over an elevation of nearly 100 metres with an average gradient close to 5%.
Alongside the main hillclimb event, there is also a showcase of multiple paddocks of cars and motorcycles curated around different themes, including supercars, competition cars and historic vehicles. All of this against the backdrop of the Goodwood House, where a large-scale sculpture — usually adorned with iconic cars from a marque honouring a milestone for the year of the festival — sits as a focal attraction.
By partnering with Goodwood, TAG Heuer is further strengthening its connection to motorsports in a legacy that can be traced all the way back to the birth of the sport. With chronographs and timekeepers from TAG Heuer an almost regular fixture in motorsports, the brand has cemented partnerships with some of the greatest properties in the automotive universe, including Formula 1, Porsche, Oracle Red Bull Racing and the Carrera Panamericana to name a few.

“Motorsport is not just about the competition, it is a cultural force, just like TAG Heuer, and we are honoured to return as Timing Partner at the Goodwood Festival of Speed,” he said, adding: “Celebrating the artist expression of the automotive universe and those who shape it, while providing a moment to look to the future of innovation in the industry, we could think of no better event to partner with and share our passion for these topics.”
The Duke of Richmond CBE DL, founder of the Goodwood Festival of Speed, echoed these sentiments, highlighting the watch brand’s “most incredible connection” to motor racing.
“I am absolutely delighted to welcome them back to the Festival of Speed as our Official Timing Partner, and that we will realise our shared passion for motorsport with the creation of a special Festival of Speed watch which takes its inspiration from the great British motorsport tradition,” he said.
The Goodwood Festival of Speed will be held from 10 to 13 July 2025.
