Salon Privé to take over Sloane Street for a one-day concours extravaganza

Salon Privé is bringing its automotive celebrations to Sloane Street with an exclusive one-day concours experience

Salon Privé Sloane StreetSalon Privé is taking over Sloane Street on Saturday 11 April for a one-day concours extravaganza. For one day, the famous Knightsbridge and Chelsea address will become a celebration of automotive excellence and craftsmanship with a free outdoor exhibition of carefully selected supercars and hypercars twinned alongside their significant classics.

The Salon Privé Sloane Street Concours will bring a curated showcase of classics, hypercars and supercars to the famous shopping district for a one-day event in the lead up to Salon Privé London at the Royal Hospital Chelsea, which is scheduled to take place from 16 to 18 April.

Partnering with several luxury retailers and British OEMs, models from Ferrari, McLaren, Rolls Royce, Lotus, Jaguar, and more will all be on display at the event. The curated collection will be framed by flagship boutiques including Hermès and Bottega Veneta, with the Jumeirah Carlton Tower providing an exquisite backdrop. Themed around ‘old vs new’, the Salon Privé Sloane Street Concours will see classic automotive icons displayed alongside their modern counterparts, offering a striking way to explore how automotive design has evolved over time. Highlights will include the N1A from Steve Nichols, who is best known for designing the 1988 McLaren-Honda MP4/4, the R33, which is a modern homage to the 1968 Alfa Romeo Tipo 33 Stradale, and the Electrified Rolls Royce Corniche Convertible, reimagining a British luxury classic for the modern era.

There will also be the Series 1 alongside the Lotus Esprit S1. For Ferrari fans, there will be a five-car display that will include a 250 California Spider, GMA Le Mans GTR and GMA T50. Aston Martin, Ferrari and McLaren will also be represented within the wider display.

A specially selected 1961 Jaguar E-Type 3.8 Flat Floor Roadster will also have a prime spot at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower’s main entrance to mark the hotel’s anniversary year. Salon Privé Sloane StreetAndrew Bagley, chairman and co-founder of Salon Prive, expressed how this is the perfect precursor to Salon Privé London at Royal Hospital Chelsea, offering the public a rare chance to see some astonishingly rare cars.

“Several of the exclusively curated cars presented are typically only seen within private collections or Concours settings, which makes this one-day event a rare opportunity for the public to encounter some astonishing cars in a relaxed and unexpectedly intimate setting,” said Andrew.

“The 25 automotives on display will be judged by a group of experts handpicked by Salon Privé. Our aim is to offer a unique and contemporary twist to Concours, making this automotive tradition accessible to many visitors for the first time,” he added.
