Neit whiskey unveils limited-edition Silent Harmony, with Chef Endo Kazutoshi

New wave whiskey makers Neit partner with Michelin Chef and Sushi Master Endo Kazutoshi to unveil single cask exclusive, Silent Harmony

It’s a rare moment when a whiskey brand seeks not only to impress, but to reframe the image of what it means to be a whiskey brand. Relative newcomer Neit is giving it a shot. Marrying the Emerald Isle’s whiskey heritage with Italian provenance in the form of co-founder brothers Francesco and Luca Fracassi, the overall look and feel is more Vanity Fair than Spirits Business. Part of a new wave of whiskey makers seeking a contemporary path for the beloved spirit, Neit seeks to respect yet redefine tradition, blending Irish distilling heritage with contemporary aesthetics, bold cask experimentation, and thoughtful collaborations and partnerships.

Its latest single-cask expression epitomises this duality beautifully — a partnership with acclaimed Chef and third generation Sushi Master Endo Kazutoshi. Originally from Yokohama, Japan, the Michelin starred Chef’s philosophy centers on precision and discipline, bringing a singular vision to everything he touches. The result is Silent Harmony, an exceptional new whiskey blend reflecting both Neit and Chef Endo’s commitment to craft, clarity and control. A 1991 single malt matured for 34 years in a bourbon barrel, Silent Harmony single-cask is triple-distilled, bottled at natural colour and non-chill filtered, promising a complex and elegant finish. Complementing the one-of-a-kind expression, the bottle itself pays homage to Chef Endo Kazutoshi’s mastery, evoking the meticulous nature of Japanese craftsmanship. Inspired by the timelessness of Japanese pottery, the bottle’s deep hues and refined textures harmoniously blend past and present.

Precise, restrained and refined, the single-cask opens with a bright, expressive nose, featuring floral notes of honeysuckle, wild apple blossom, and chamomile, underpinned by fresh greenery and subtle coastal influence. The palate is structured and layered, delivering flavours of apricot tarte tatin, peach chutney, wild herbs, and a gentle bitterness from wormwood and gentian. The finish is long and composed, with lingering impressions of dried hay, herbal complexity, and a saline lift that speaks to its coastal character. With decades spent in quiet transformation, Silent Harmony illustrates the belief that what matters most often happens in silence. While the distillation methods may be wholly traditional, Chef Endo and Neit’s partnership nods to contemporary culture, while respectfully reimagining tradition. The limited edition release of Silent Harmony launches this month (October 2025), with 185 numbered bottles.
