The travel experts’ programme of aquatic tours enable visitors to explore further reaches of the globe via ship
National Geographic Expeditions, which has recently launched here in the UK, is teaming up with award-winning luxury tour operator Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours to offer discerning travellers the opportunity to set sail on a choice of eight international river cruises, visiting a host of dreamy European destinations via a small ship.
Inspired by notions of spirit, adventure and conservation – of which National Geographic is famed for – each voyage comes complete with its own travel expert on hand to offer educational presentations throughout the trip. Moreover, the European cruises will also have a National Geographic photographer on board to share their specialist photography tips to guarantee the perfect shot for social media.
A total of eight new river cruises, disembarking in 2018 and 2019, are heading to Europe’s great waterways, including Rhine River between Switzerland Germany, Danube, and Moselle, through to France’s idyllic Bordeaux region and Portugal’s Douro Valley. Guests will have the chance to explore cultural draws including castles, gothic spires and enchanting vineyards. On every cruise, guests can pick from a roster of enriching excursions – from hikes and bike rides to experiences that focus on the natural world, culture and history.
