Maserati teams up with David Beckham for short film

Short film sees football icon driving a Levante Trofeo around sunny Miami
Iconic Italian car manufacturer Maserati has teamed up with sporting superstar David Beckham for it latest ad campaign shot in Miami, Florida.
The short film sees ex-footballer Beckham, known for his illustrious stints at Manchester United and Real Madrid, glide around the city in a Levante Trofeo, Maserati's stylish V8 SUV unveiled in 2018.
The film, which was shot in March, was directed by Harmony Korine, notable for his film work including Kids and Spring Breakers.
According to the brand, Beckham is the "perfect partner to accompany Maserati on the next leg of its journey, breaking boundaries and driving the brand forward to the forefront of luxury motoring in the 21st century".
Paolo Tubito, Maserati Chief Marketing Officer, said of the collaboration: “The Brand is moving forward, inaugurated a new Era. Maserati is driven to challenge the status quo being innovative by nature, powered by passion, and unique by design. The partnership with David is the embodiment of all these values.”
Meanwhile, Beckham stated: “It’s an exciting time for me to begin this partnership with Maserati; an iconic Italian brand which shares my appreciation for the very best innovation and design. I’m looking forward to working closely with the brand at such a pivotal time in their history and continuing their growth on a global scale.”
