Maldives luxury PlayPen is the perfect getaway for fun in the sun
Luxury hideaway company Huvafen Fushi has announced the latest addition to its vacation portfolio – The PlayPen, situated in the Malé Atoll in the Maldives. The Grand Beach Pavilion, an opulent two-storey villa especially for adults seeking fun in the sun, is priced at a cool £12,000 per night for a couple sharing and fuses inspiration from New York loft-style living spaces with eclectic vintage pieces, making for the perfect, private hideaway.
Boasting an open-plan aesthetic overlooking beautiful ocean views, discerning guests are pampered the minute they arrive with a round the clock butler service, and are able to take full advantage of the sensuous massage in PEARL, Huvafen Spa’s legendary underwater treatment area, with the addition of a bespoke intimate gift box from Maison Mika.
Upstairs the property’s focal feature the ‘playroom’ is equipped with an oversized ocean view bath and steam and sauna, while a west-facing balcony is overlooks the floodlit lava-stone infinity pool and private jetty – offering unmissable sunset views over the house reef. Daybeds, an outdoor shower and a private BBQ area are all available, while a dramatic private courtyard, complete with entertainment system and bottomless cocktail bar, provides the perfect space for hosting evening festivities.

Following the opening of Malé Atoll by Huvafen Fushi in 2004 – famous for its world-first underwater spa rooms – it's now under the management of The Small Maldives Island Company, which has revamped the island for a new generation of sophisticates drawn by the allure of a glamorously grown-up getaway.
