Luxury cognac brand Louis XIII has ventured into tableware by launching its first porcelain collection: the Art de la Table
Louis XIII has been one of the best cognac brands in the business, and today, it is adding another feather to its cap by launching its first porcelain tableware collection: the Art de la Table.
Louis XIII cognacs have graced the tables of some of the most discerning clientele in the world. From royal banquets at Versailles to dinners with Queen Elizabeth II and President John F. Kennedy, the cognac brand has toasted to many remarkable occasions. In that spirit, Louis XIII has released a line of porcelain tableware, in a bid to ‘turn every occasion into a moment to remember’.
The first collection, ‘Soil is our Soul’ is inspired by the soil of Grande Champagne. Each piece also includes a laser-engraved fleur-de-lys and three hidden hoops on the reverse nod to the structure of the tierçons – symbolic of patience and graceful transformation.

Carved facets on each piece catch and reflect light, assembling the crystal glass that holds Louis XIII. Each piece is finished with hand-painted copper decor, a subtle nod to the copper stills used to distil the future Louis XIII eaux-de-vie.
Each set in both collections includes six meticulously crafted pieces: a large plate, soup plate, dessert plate, bowl, tea set and coffee set, all designed to create a complete and immersive culinary journey. Individually numbered, every piece undergoes a precise three-to-four-week production cycle, executed by a team of 40 expert artisans at the House of J.L Coquet in Limoges, France.

Limiting the production to 750 sets is a symbolic tribute to the capacity of a single Louis XIII tierçon, the centenarian cask where time and eaux-de-vie converge in harmony.
Speaking about the collection, Anne-Laure Pressat, the executive director of Louis XIII shared how this marks a ‘new chapter’ in the cognac brand’s legacy.
“These Art de la Table collections mark a new chapter in LOUIS XIII art de vivre. They are an invitation to discover or rediscover LOUIS XIII through a brand-new elevated experience,” said Anne-Laure.
