Lalique and Elton John raise $85,000 for AIDS foundation

Elton John collaborated with Lalique to auction two crystal sculptures, raising over $85,000 for AIDS foundation

Lalique Elton JohnSir Elton John once again teamed up with Lalique for an incredible cause. The legendary singer designed two crystal sculptures in collaboration with Lalique for an auction to raise funds for the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

At the organisation’s Annual Academy Awards viewing party in West Hollywood, the two auctioned sculptures raised $85,000, with all the proceeds going towards the foundation’s global effort to end AIDS. Brands like Rolex, Moet Hennessy and Chopard also participated in this event.

The two pieces — a large Blue Heart Cire Perdue and a small Blue Crystal Heart with a one-of-a-kind enameled platinum finish created exclusively for the auction — are the newest additions to the Elton John Music is Love for Lalique collection. The Blue Crystal Heart is now available online for purchase and limited to just 100 pieces worldwide.

The large Blue Heart Cire Perdue is created using the ‘lost wax’ technique, an ancestral process that allows for the creation of inimitable and intricate pieces. The design of the hearts draws from the Tourbillons vase — a signature Lalique creation — while the treble clef inside the heart is directly inspired by Elton John.

Speaking about the auction, Elton John highlighted his longstanding relationship with the brand.

“We are thrilled to reunite with Lalique once again for their stunning special edition crystal heart collection,” said Elton John. “With a portion of sales supporting the Elton John AIDS Foundation, every heart sold will help drive our mission forward to end HIV and LGBTQ+ stigma worldwide. Thank you, Lalique, for turning your exquisite craftsmanship into meaningful impact.”

Lalique first worked with Elton John in 1997 on a collection of small crystal angels. A broader partnership came to fruition in 2015 with the launch of the Elton John Music is Love for Lalique collection. This latest addition marks a decade since the partnership between Lalique and the Foundation was first conceived.

“We’re thrilled with the auction results for these special, one-of-a-kind pieces,” said Silvio Denz, executive chairman of Lalique Group. “This is such an important cause, and we’re proud to partner with our dear friend Elton John and the Elton John AIDS Foundation to help the global fight against AIDS.”

If you’d also like to contribute to this cause, the limited-edition small Blue Crystal Heart is now available for purchase online through selected Lalique’s flagships worldwide, with 10% of the purchase price benefitting the Foundation through July 2026.
