Englana ambassador Jodie Kidd hosted the launch of the British brand’s new collection
Model and presenter Jodie Kidd swapped the countryside for the city on Friday 15 March to celebrate the launch of natural British lifestyle brand Englana's latest collections. A dedicated ambassador of the brand, which creates sustainable boot bags, totes, purses and accessories, Kidd hosted a lunch at The Ivy Soho Brasserie with guests including the family-run business' founders, Helen and Phillip Gutteridge.
Famed for championing British brands, Kidd offered to become ambassador after discovering Englana's 'made in England' ethos. All products are made by UK suppliers and materials including aniline leather, local craftsmanship, and designed to be handed down from generation to generation, and inspired by country pursuits including equestrianism, cycling and golf.
"Englana's collections are inspired by the Shropshire landscape," said Kidd. "I'm a country girl at heart, and love the rich connections this brand has to nature and the British countryside. In each and every item, you can see the love and attention to detail that has lavishly gone into creating the beautifully crafted items." >>

Englana took the opportunity to launch its new ranges The Mono, featuring the range in a deep onyx leather, and a rich tan collection called The Victory. Kidd is currently working on her own collection, creating a range of boot bags, totes and more in a rich maroon leather with vibrant teal stitching.
"We're delighted to welcome Jodie on board," said co-founder and designer Helen. "Her ongoing support for sustainable, British products is a passion we both share and is instrumental in everything we do… We feel incredibly proud that we have created a brand synonymous with stylish design that celebrates our English heritage."
Helen was inspired by her lifestyle in the country, and the challenge of creating luxury luggage that matched her day to day needs – from boot bags designed to fit in the Range Rover as easily as airline hand luggage, wipe clean interior linings, and a range of blankets and throw rugs in hardy but comforting Merino wools – all produced by English craftsman.
