Hublot launches latest limited-edition watch with Arturo Fuente

The Swiss luxury watch manufacturer unveils its latest timepiece, inspired by famed cigar maker Arturo Fuente
Inspired by famed cigarmaker and long-term friend Carlito Fuente, Hublot has unveiled its latest timepiece — the striking Classic Fusion Chronograph Arturo Fuente King Gold. Created to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Fuente’s world renowned Fuente Fuente OpusX cigar, the timepiece was unveiled this week at the Arturo Fuente Cigar Factory. Here, in what has become a tradition after 12 years of friendship, Carlito Fuente saw the watch for the first time.
For four generations and more than 112 years, the family-owned premium and ultra-premium cigar maker has become one of the world’s most well-regarded cigar brands. Its headquarters remain in a historic 120-year-old former Fuente cigar factory in Tampa, Florida, which is where this latest timepiece was unveiled. Soon, Arturo Fuente will expand with a new factory in Esteli, Nicaragua, in addition to the company’s multiple Nicaraguan tobacco farms.

With a celebratory theme of gold and green, the Classic Fusion Chronograph Arturo Fuente King Gold features a 42mm Classic Fusion Chronograph case, King Gold case and bezel, and an elegant laser-engraved motif of tobacco leaves on the bezel. The vibrant emerald green dial is presented with a sunray-patterned finish and a gradient fumé effect that darkens towards the edges, perfectly matched by the alligator leather strap. The elaborate case back is crafted in solid 18k King Gold, which has been engraved and lacquered with a special OpusX 25th Anniversary artwork.
The timepiece is presented in a green lacquered watch box, which doubles as a stylish cigar humidor, designed in collaboration with Manny Iriarte, long time creative partner. Of the partnership with Hublot, Carlito Fuente comments: “The honour and privilege of building such a wonderful relationship with Hublot, which I consider family, has been one of my greatest lifetime achievements.”
Limited to just 50 pieces, this elegant and suitably-named creative fusion is a warm welcome to any collection.
