How the Experimental Perfume Club has simplified the approach to bespoke fragrances

The Experimental Perfume Club launched its newest 'laboratory' space in London's Selfridges in November 2019, designed to allow customers to create their perfect, unique scents based on an impressive fragrance library. The brand, founded by perfumer Emmanuelle Moeglin, brings her 12-years' experience to bear when combining luxury scents with contemporary cool. Moeglin is a member of the French and British Societies of Perfumers and the International Fragrance Association. 

“I began my journey at one of the world’s leading perfumery schools – the prestigious ISIPCA in Versailles – where I learnt the science and secrets of fragrance creation. I’ve been lucky enough to travel the world, collaborating with some of the most esteemed perfumers in the world, working as a Scent Design Manager for global fragrance brands such as L’Oreal and Puig in Paris, Barcelona and New York," she says. 

"More recently I was an international fragrance and cosmetics industry trend forecaster in London, advising brands about anything scented. As the creative director and in-house perfumer at Experimental Perfume Club, I have a desire to bring the wonders of fragrance to the world. Exciting, exacting, exploratory. Just how scent should be."

Moeglin offers monthly scent labs and workshops in her East London studio (perfect gifts for a loved one) and designs bespoke fragrances for businesses and brands – but her biggest success is her Layers Collection.
