Glashütte launches stylish new Chronograph watch for the ‘Man of Taste’
By Rose Adams | 7 December 2017 | Style
The Senator Chronograph Panorama Date is here to bring a contemporary solution to the age old conundrum of style vs substance
There's nothing like a fine watch, and this latest offering from Glashütte is headed straight for the top of your Christmas wish list. Dubbed ‘a Chronograph for the Man of Taste,’ its design is based on the integrated Calibre 37 chronograph movement and is developed to set new standards for functionality with style, meaning there's no need to sacrifice style for substance.
Available from Harrods, Wempe and other select retailers, the new addition to the Glashütte Original collection is The Senator Chronograph Panorama Date. The timepiece features a deep navy face with blue highlights, in contrast to the existing platinum and red gold models of its kind, while reflecting previous models in the Senator line through its fixtures – including the 30-minute and 12-hour counters and a small seconds dial. >>

As evenings come sooner, the light up Super-LumiNova feature highlights the hour indexes and watchface – a useful tool that quite literally highlights the model's style. The black calfskin strap is perfectly attuned to this striking blue hue, and the stainless steel bracelet’s patented closure has an adjustment mechanism designed for optimal comfort.
With a nod to the brand’s 20-year tradition of enhanced legibility, the two date discs are placed on the same level without a central separation bar, enabling the ever smooth and impressive appearance of the date in its large window. One of the most innovative aspects of the watch is its large power reserve, an impressive 70 hours when fully wound, so no chance of it losing life on you.
The striking details underscore just how complex and multi-facetted a chronograph can be – targeted directly toward the modern day man who wears it.
