Girard-Perregaux unveils Laureato Skeleton Aston Martin Edition watch

Girard Perregaux has released another collaboration with Aston Martin, this time in the form of the Laureato Skeleton watch

Girard Perregaux Aston Martin SkeletonGirard-Perregaux and Aston Martin have collaborated for yet another watch collaboration to release the Laureato Skeleton Aston Martin Edition watch. This is the second watch to come out of their partnership, with the first one being an iteration of the Laureato chronograph.

The new Laureato Skeleton Aston Martin Edition watch celebrates the ‘dialogue between power and precision’. Sculpted from black ceramic, its case reveals an openworked movement, which mirrors the sculptural lines and technical sophistication of Aston Martin’s finest creations.

The case and bracelet of this new timepiece feature the design of the inaugural Laureato of 1975. However, this time, the octagonal bezel, bracelet and case are all made out of ceramic. Hours and minutes are indicated by skeletonised hands and suspended indexes, all finished in a green coating reminiscent of Aston Martin’s racing green. This timepiece also features a small skeletonised seconds hand, discreetly positioned at 10 o’clock.

Through its sapphire crystal and caseback, the wearer can admire components usually hidden from sight: the mainspring in various states of tension, the oscillating balance wheel, the beating hairspring, and the pallet lever engaging with the escape wheel.

The caseback is adorned with a metallised Aston Martin logo, with each design element thoughtfully considered to deliver a compelling and dynamic visual.

Speaking about the collaboration, Girard-Perregaux’s managing director Marc Michel-Amadry highlighted the ‘elegance and sportiness’ of the respective brands.
