Dior has announced that Jonathan Anderson will take over as creative director for the brand’s men’s, women’s and haute couture collections
Luxury fashion house Dior has announced that northern Irish fashion designer Jonathan Anderson will be taking over as creative director for the brand’s men’s, women’s and haute couture collections — making this the first time since Christian Dior that a creative director will manage all three prongs.
This news comes after the brand announced that Maria Grazia Chiuri has stepped down from her role as the creative director of women’s haute couture, ready-to-wear and accessories.
Jonathan Anderson has been an integral part of the LVMH group for a long time. He was appointed as the creative director of the LVMH-owned brand Loewe in September 2013. During his tenure, Loewe soared into becoming one of the most sought-after high fashion brands in the business. He also has his own label JW Anderson, which LVMH has a minority stake in.
