Courvoisier debuts new Prestige Expression, with limited-edition label from Clym Evernden

Popular with luxury brands and celebrities alike, if you don’t recognise Clym Evernden by name, you’ll almost certainly recognise his work. His distinctive ink-based style has adorned the scents of Diptyque and Acqua di Parma, he’s drawn for Kendall Jenner, and worked with luxury brands from Hermes to Louis Vuitton. Drawn by his endearing illustrations, he’s much loved on instagram, where he shares his imaginative sketches and snippets of his creative life.

Now, the award-winning British artist and art director has turned his narrative lens to the world of spirits, with an illustrative interpretation for prestigious cognac house, Maison Courvoisier.

The historic Maison, which once counted Napoleon among its fans, will debut a new Prestige Expression, Extra, exclusively at Harrods on Monday. In celebration of the quintessential British department store’s 175th anniversary, the release will be available with an exclusive design, created by Clym, in a limited-edition run of just 175 bottles. Telling the story of these two iconic brands in his signature style, the piece is a visual journey from Jarnac to London. Depicting Courvoisier’s Maison alongside Harrods’ Knightsbridge façade, the design is replete with the landscape of the cognac region, including rolling vineyards, ageing casks and the Charente River.

Of the partnership, Harrod’s Head of Buying for Food, Wine & Spirits, André Lewis, was quick to express their pleasure with the resulting artwork, sharing that: “This exquisite design beautifully encapsulates the essence of craftsmanship and celebrates our shared values of excellence and creativity.”

The deep, intense taste of Courvoisier Extra features exotic, tart and sharp flavors, making it the perfect match for apple and pear-based desserts, or dishes with sour or tangy notes and light acidity.
