Where to celebrate Burns Night 2026 in London
By Tessa Crowley | 20 January 2026 | Food & Drink, Lifestyle
Whether seeking a fine dining feast or an evening full of true Scottish spirit, discover three London restaurants celebrating Burns Night 2026.
Arguably the best known Scottish celebration, Burns Night is a crucial moment in the calendar of any self-respecting Scot. Across the country, people come together to raise a dram and pay tribute to wordsmith Robert Burns. Whether looking for a Burns Night blowout or civilised sit-down supper, it’s a chance to discover a taste of quintessential Scottish fare. Here, we share three London restaurants putting on a Scottish spread fit for the Bard himself.
Langan’s Brasserie, Sunday 25 January
Mayfair favourite, Langan’s Brasserie, is celebrating Burns Night with a special one-night-only menu. Accompanied by the traditional ‘Address to a Haggis’ and bagpipe melodies, guests will be whisked away on a journey to Scotland through ceremony, storytelling and Scottish gastronomy. The evening’s celebrations will start with a complimentary tot of The Glenturret 14 Year Old Peated — a distinctive, limited-release single malt — before a selection of Scottish-inspired canapés including mutton tartare, quail egg and black pudding Scotch egg, Lorne sausage bonbons, and whisky-cured salmon and winter figs. Classic mains will feature, such as haggis, neeps and tatties, while the evening will conclude with classic Scottish desserts, a cheese selection or petit fours.
Covent Garden Hotel, Friday 23 January
For Burns Night, Covent Garden Hotel will be hosting a celebratory dinner with Scottish B Corp, Bruichladdich Distillery. Taking place in Brasserie Max’s private dining room, the evening will combine Scottish cooking, rare Islay whiskies and live spoken word. Guests will be welcomed with a Penicillin cocktail made with The Classic Laddie, before sitting down to a four-course menu with whisky pairings, curated by Scottish-born Head Chef Martin Sweeney. Highlights include traditional haggis with neeps and tatties paired with Bruichladdich 18, Highland venison matched with Port Charlotte 18, and dessert served alongside the heavily peated Octomore 15.2. For a touch of theatre, the evening will also feature live spoken word from award-winning Scottish poet Kevin McLean, offering a modern tribute to Robert Burns.
Oblix, The Shard, Thursday 22 – Sunday 25 January
Sky-high on Level 32 of The Shard, Oblix will mark Burns Night with a bespoke dinner, in partnership with iconic Scottish whisky brand The Macallan. The experience begins with a bespoke welcome cocktail crafted using The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Old, before offering guests the chance to enjoy paired whiskies including The Macallan Double Cask 15 Years Old and The Macallan Sherry Oak 12 Years Old. With a distinctive balance of richness, spice and oak, each dram has been selected to pair with Oblix’s menu of exceptional Scottish produce. Dishes will include options such as Orkney scallop with crisp black pudding and spicy brown butter, an amuse-bouche of kedgeree and smoked haddock with crispy potato and mountain ash roe, and mains such as whisky-smoked black cod with jalapeño & lime. To finish, guests can enjoy a chocolate and pecan bar with caramel and bourbon ice cream, complemented by a final sip of The Macallan.
