Bagpad: the simplest way to maintain the shape of your designer bag
By Tempus | 3 February 2021 | Lifestyle
Keep your designer handbag looking brand new with this unique, sustainable accessory
If multiple lockdowns and a flurry of rather sad snow has lowered your mood, never fear: spring is approaching, and after such a miserable winter, the coming months could scarcely be a better time to dust off your designer outfits and bags to show off around town as restaurants, bars and other public spaces – hopefully – begin to open up again.
But oh dear; you've opened up your wardrobe to find your Louis Vuitton bag has been so sorely neglected over the past year that it has lost its sturdy shape, instead taking the form of a rather unflattering, lumpy mess. What to do?
Enter Bagpad, an elegant and sustainable custom-made insert designed to offer a long-term solution for keeping handbags in their original shape, protecting against wear and tear and even countering the effects of humidity on the bag's materials.
Founded in 2018, the inspiration for the design of the Bagpad stemmed from the iconic Hermès Birkin bag, a bag that requires significant structural support when not in use. So while the first Bagpad was custom-made to fit the Birkin bag, the design was such a success that brand-specific models are now available for all Hermès, Chanel and Louis Vuitton handbag designs.
Bagpads are available in various fabrics and colours including luxurious velvet, which can be personalised with monogramming.
