Asprey and Formula One team up to create an exclusive collection celebrating the revolutionary new 2022 racing car

The two iconic brands have joined forces for a limited edition range of jewellery and ornaments

British heritage brand Asprey is celebrating the new 2022 Formula One car with the release of a collection of sterling silver models inspired by the revolutionary redesign.

The ground-breaking F1 car for next season has been described by the International Automobile Federation’s technical head Nikolas Tombazis as “arguably the most important change in the sport’s history”.

Changes to the car’s architecture, including modifications to the rear and front wings, larger, more imperious wheels and tweaks to the underfloor tunnelling, are designed to enhance aerodynamics – and thus, the cleanliness of the air on and around the track – so significantly that drivers will be able to get closer to their competitors than ever before.

The aim is that the sport will not only become more environmentally sustainable but the on-track dynamics will also fundamentally change.

Inspired by the car’s seductive curves and contours, Asprey’s dedicated silversmiths have created an exclusive collection of replica and sculptural renderings in 25cm, 18cm and 10cm sizes – ranging in price from £30,000 to £1100 – as well as a selection of small silver goods and silk products. Fine jewellery items including cufflinks, bracelets, charms, and signet rings are set to launch later in the year.

Asprey, which is celebrating its 240th year, boasts a long association with the world of motorsport. In the late 1990s, the company famously partnered with Ferrari’s Formula 1 team to produce a premium offering of silver, gold and leather goods, which remain highly covetable collectors’ items today.

“Asprey is thrilled to be collaborating with Formula 1,” said company chairman John Rigas. “Our designers and artisans have created a beautiful collection of silver, silk and jewellery pieces that capture the essence of modern motorsport.”

Describing the launch of the 2022 car as an “exciting new era”, F1’s director of commercial partnerships, Ben Pincus, added: “Whilst we look forward to the future of F1 with even more action-packed racing next season and beyond, it’s important to acknowledge the heritage and history that connect our brands, as we bring fans something special to commemorate the moment.”

All items are Asprey Hallmarked and dual branded with the official trademark of F1 and are available throughout Asprey’s international stores and at Asprey.com.
