A winter wonderland with fairytale views, the White Forest sets the festive bar high

Madison in St Paul’s has transformed its rooftop terrace into a cosy grotto for those wonderful winter nights
If you thought rooftop bars were exclusively for summer evenings, Madison in St Paul's will make you think again. The bar and restaurant's famous rooftop terrace – with unrivalled views of London's St Paul's cathedral – has been transformed into the White Forest for the winter months, complete with warming 'hot toddy' cocktails by premium vodka brand Ciroc and a new menu of comforting treats.
If you're familiar with Madison, you know what a statement that incredible penthouse view makes. It's an instant lift to any evening, matched by the promise of great music, cocktails and an award-winning restaurant. The White Forest takes it to another level from the moment you step out of One New Change's lift, getting you in the festive season immediately by greeting guests with softly falling (faux) snow.
"We're very happy with how Madison rooftop terrace has been transformed for the season, and I'm sure our guests will enjoy The White Forest as much as we do," Madison's senior general manager Leslie Kwarteng told Tempus. The White Forest is open until 28 February 2018, and will feature live music to entertain guests – such as Professor Green and girlfriend Fae Williams, Demi Rose Mawby and Made in Chelsea alumnus Kimberley Garner.
Open daily from 4pm till late, groups can settle in to cosy Nordic grottos while snuggling up in complimentary faux fur wraps, while enjoying hot cocktails including Blushing Cider (a comforting mix of Ciroc vodka, honey, aperol, apple cider and fresh ginger) Wings of Wisdom (Ciroc, white chocolate liqueur, Harvey's Bristol crème, aromatic bitters and sugar) and Chocolate and Vanilla (Ciroc French vanilla, sweet Vermouth, chocolate bitters and red wine).
A cocktail to cure all your ills, however, can be found in the venue's homemade Hot Buttered Rum with apple and vanilla, while the Madison's head chef Robin Tarver has created a snacks menu full of indulgent classics like baked Vacherin Mont d'Or cheese with bayonne ham and new potatoes, and gourmet hot dogs and currywurst. With seasonal treats and plenty on the menu, the White Forest is the perfect way to start the festive season in fairytale fashion.
