Spice up your brunch with Nobu Shoreditch’s new Sunday menu

Japanese fusion restaurant Nobu Shoreditch launches its first ever Sunday brunch menu
Forget artisan sourdough or eggs and avocado, Nobu Shoreditch is revolutionising London’s brunch craze with a Japanese take on the trendiest of weekend meals. Served at the Japanese restaurant and hotel every Sunday at 11am to 3pm, guests can enjoy signature dishes and unique brunch offerings along with a Bloody Mary or glass of Veuve Clicquot champagne.
Start with a traditional dish of Edamame with parmesan truffle rice toban before exploring the brunch bar, offering signature sushi and sashimi dishes as well as yellowtail jalapeno, tenderloin tataki, chicken karage and Japanese beef stew. Follow this with three courses of sharing dishes designed by executive chef Greg Seregi and head sushi chef Teruya Noriyoshi.
These exclusive brunch dishes include a baby corn tempura with yuzu kosho honey aioli, succulent roasted short ribs with aji matsyhisa sauce, traditional gyoza with butter ponzu and eel sauce, grouper tempura with amazu ponzo, and grilled skirt steak with honey truffle teriyaki and mixed sautéed vegetables. A stand out option is the hand-carved roasted pork belly with spicy ponzu sauce and house-made pickles. Nobu-style desserts include honey toast, sakura jelly, green tea rolled roulade.
The luxury restaurant brand was first launched in 1993, when sushi chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa teamed up with regular customer, actor Robert de Niro and two Hollywood executives. Now the brand boasts 30 restaurants worldwide. Nobu Shoreditch is the culinary brand’s first European hotel, featuring subtle, opulent east-meets-west décor and a stand out 240-seat dining room.
“As the creative hub of London and with the current revival of the area, we believe that Shoreditch in 2017 is the perfect time and place to introduce Nobu Hotels to Europe,” general manager Gigi Vega said upon the launch earlier this year. “With Shoreditch’s eclectic mix of food, culture, business and nightlife, we believe Nobu’s core brand values fit well with the essence of the area.”
