Five-star Provence resort launches cooking masterclasses for a taste of local cuisine
The extraordinary five-star resort Terre Blanche, nestled in the rolling hills of Provence in southern France, is offering a stunning new experience for 2021; expert-led cooking masterclasses for a taste of true Provençal gastronomy.
With holidaying off the cards for the time being, the resort's new executive chef Christophe Schmitt is looking to satiate our travel hunger by offering a series of classes launching in April 2021 in order to entice us to southern France as our first port of call once borders reopen. Schmitt developed his talent in Michelin-starred restaurants across France and achieved his first Michelin-star as Executive Chef of L’Almandin in St Cyprien.
His ethos champions the unique Provençal terroir, and the masterclasses will cover a range of themes, from how to prepare the blue lobster from head to tail, through to Provençal pastry making.
In the heart of one of the most renowned gastronomic regions in the world, Terre Blanche is the ideal place for gourmands to embrace slow travel and immerse themselves in authentic culinary experiences.
The resort is the ideal post-Covid getaway thanks to its abundance of space, residing within 750 acres in luxuriant forest in one of Provence’s most unspoiled corners. Residing over an area larger than the entire principality of Monaco, Terre Blanche is designed to resemble a traditional Provençal hilltop village, but it could scarcely be further from a crumbling, rustic hideaway; the resort is home to a multi-award winning 3,200 square metre spa and two 18-hole championship golf courses.
The hotel itself offers 115 gorgeous private suites and villas spread out across a secluded wooded hillside, with all guests benefitting from the security of their own building, complete with a large private terrace facing onto panoramic views of mountains, medieval villages and breathtaking natural surroundings.
Spacious suites and villas range in size from 60 to 300 square metres, of which four have their own private pool or jacuzzi. Adjoining suites can be interconnected for larger groups, or guests can opt for one of the resort's four villas, the largest of which can sleep up to nine adults, or six adults plus six children.
Terre Blanche suites start at €370 per night, including breakfast.
